Look, honey, at least it's not your underwear
When Carhartt called me up with news that they were expanding their line of women's work clothing, it didn't immediately strike me as an opportunity to dress in drag.
But as soon as I felt the soft, supple leather of these work gloves, I knew it was time to take a walk on the wild side.
And honestly, they're the best work gloves I've ever used—they protect your hands without compromising your dexterity. The toughest work gloves I've tried in the past had such thick leather that I could barely get them through the trigger of a drill. On the pinkie, there's always that vestigial flap of extra finger. And forget trying to dig anything smaller than a hammer out of your tool belt.
But these, these are like bulletproof Isotoners.
Want to get your own? You can sign up to be a wear-tester, get in cahoots with Carhartt's R&D, and you'll score some free gear in the process. The offer is open to men, women, and all points in between.
