Holster your drill, save lives beneath ladders
Back when I made a living wearing a tool belt for 8 hours a day, rarely a week went by when I didn't drop a drill off a ladder and nearly kill my coworkers.
The problem? Drills don't fit onto tool belts. Or at least, they didn't used to.
Now, you can hang it on your hip with Duluth's new DTPro Universal Drill Holster. As demonstrated by summer intern Liz, the $15 holster slips over your tool belt and cradles the cordless gun at a quick-draw 45 degree angle.
It's right- or left-handed, it holds most any size drill, and the denier count on the nylon is to die for. While the leather strap and six bit-holding sleeves add to its wild west appeal, the main drawback is the added bulk and heft.
But really, if your drill's that heavy, it's probably better on your hip than on your buddy's head.

I have a Bucket Boss Sidecar which is a holster and large pouch that attaches to my ladder. Saves me a lot of time and I don't ever have need to wear a bulky drill holster when I'm working with my 6' ladder. When I need to use a different ladder I have a Bigg Lugg which is a small fold-out hook that clips to my belt. The drill sets in the hook by the handle and I've ever had one fall out. The hooks hardly an ideal solution if you're going to be carrying the drill all day but for ladder work it's great because you can fold it flat against your belt when you're not using it.
