Peeling off latex never felt so good
Peeling paint is not normally a good thing.
But when it's a solid sheet slowly lifting off Shur-Line's Teflon Paint Tray, it brings the same satisfaction as sloughing a skin of dried Elmer's glue, way back in the cut-and-paste glory days of second grade. I knew a kid who would actually rub glue back and forth over both hands like lotion, let it dry, and then try to peel off his glue gloves in one unbroken piece.
But that's another story.
The great thing about the Teflon is that it allows you to reuse your tray, without the need to waste disposable plastic liners.
The flaw is that you could probably roll more quickly with one of these instead. But if you're watching the paint dry just to peel it off, you're probably not in too big a hurry, anyway.
Note: Shur-Line's redesigned website will be launched later this fall.

Hey Harry,
Cool as this sounds, paint peels quite readily off of a clean plastic tray, too.
The problem with this solution is dealing with the puddled glob in the well. Sometimes, you just don't have days to wait for it to dry.
I prefer lining the tray with plastic grocery bag. When I'm done, I'll just toss it out. Instant clean tray.
Many more rooms to paint,
Joe
