Hefty handles, smarter tarp

November 14, 2007

Ezleafhauler

There was a time in my landscaping life when I was constantly dragging tarps. Heavy ones. At the end of one leaf-heaving day, with my knuckles white and my hands cramped to claws, I had a realization:

This thing ain't got no handles.

Out of a similarly profound epiphany, the EZ Leaf Hauler was born. Billed as a "giant dustpan for leaves," the Hauler has 3 sides, 35 square feet of space, and, best of all, 4 handles.

I dragged it up and down the aisle of a trade show, and concluded that it definitely works.

But my tarp and I have been through so much. Will this make an adequate replacement?

Evidently plenty of people have decided it will--the Hauler is sold out on the manufacturer's site. You can find a list of stocked distributors here.

Wouldn't it make much more sense for the handles to be on the other side? The way its shown in the picture, it looks like all the leaves are about to fall off the end of it.

My name is Jessica and I work in Sales and Marketing for the EZ Leaf Hauler. I wanted to address Jim's comment. Though you cannot see them in this image, there are in fact handles on the other side as well. They are located on the underside of the other end and are, therefore, not visible here. So, you can drag it from either end. As shown here, I can also assure you that the leaves do not fall out. It might appear that way, but after using it, you will see that their collective weight keeps them in place!

Jessica this looks like a fantastic product. The handles are a great idea. I could use this straight in the back of my truck. Is this available in the UK do you know? Cheers Jo (Norwich UK)
