Steel bagels drive screws, hype

Lee Valley's pocket screwdrivers generated an unusual amount of "news" yesterday, receiving coverage on BoingBoing, Gizmodo, Make, and the Book of Joe.
Discussion of the product, on sale since 2000, mentioned a spark plug gapper, a metal washer, or the humble nickel as alternative tools for the task. All fine choices.
I feel I must intervene, however, to point out that each of those lacks a particular feature, an essential element of any good screwdriver: a handle.
One of my favorites, also pocket-sized, comes from Lee Valley as well. This 19-in-1 ratcheting driver has a fantastic rubber handle, with internal storage of 16 bits of various sizes and shapes.
Even flatheads!
