Blowing leaves, duct tape straining at the seams
November 1, 2007
There's no shortage of makeshift rakes cleaning the streets in an urban autumn. In fact, I recently saw an old man pushing leaves around with a cane, but didn't have the heart to take his picture.
Aldo here, on the other hand, is coping with inadequacy with considerable aplomb. See that duct tape on the nozzle? That's apparently been holding strong since last June.
The blower, itself relatively geriatric, has been in service for 4 years. Despite the continued success of the duct tape, its owner is in the market to replace his Stihl.
Boy, did his eyes light up when I told him about this spankin-new wrangler of deciduous detritus.
