Thermique towel warmer: One hot piece of glass
Towel warmers are a great little splurge items to have during this time of year to chase away that early morning chill when you step out of the shower. Unfortunately, they usually take up a lot of space, not to mention some wall breaking for the plumbing or electrical lines that heat them up.
For me, that's just a little too much work for a warm, fluffy towel.
Thermique's new freestanding, heated glass towel warmer pretty much solves these problems though. All it needs is a GFCI outlet--no messy retrofitting work required. And while its average size is 37x28 inches, its solid clear glass design makes the towel warmer (out in January for between $1,000 to $1,500) feel less overpowering.
Perfect for a small bathroom like mine. My only concern? Accidently walking into a hot pane of glass while in my just-woke-up grogginess.
Is a warm towel worth it?

The towel radiator's heating system type should be based on how often you intend to use the towel radiator. If you expect the towel rail to operate the whole year round in both summer and cold seasons, a dual fuel or electric heating system might be appropriate. There are also hydronic radiators that are heated using hot-water systems.
