UFO surge protector: Outta space

I can't tell if I think this "UFO Surge Protector" would solve your plug-in problems or create more cord clutter.
The configuration accommodates multiple transformers, which would do wonders for my power tool battery chargers.
But I'm not sure it's worth giving up the shelf space—not to mention having cords splaying out in all directions.
I could bunch them together, true—but I'd have to eat a lot of escarole to get enough ties to do it.
You think it's worth the $31?
