Kitchen trend: integrated basin accessories

Wood cutting boards. Dish racks. Colanders. These are among the useful kitchen tools that now come bundled with sinks as lock-in-place accessories—often at additional cost. We've shown you a few in the magazine and online, but the choices keep increasing. (Of course, the hope is always that with competition, the prices will do the opposite and shrink.) So heads up: Franke has famously sold sink systems for a while. Elkay and Kohler are also among the manufacturers ramping up the add-ons you can order up like appetizers, when you buy their sinks. The latest?

A wine-glass drying rack that rests on the rim and holds glasses upside to allow them to drip dry, which Kohler executives debuted at this year's KBIS, and continued to talk up during their last visit to TOH. And you thought double bowls were something special.

I love the idea of a multi-use sink.
