Do you work for a manufacturer with a cool new home technology product? The editors of Popular Science are looking for products and materials used in home construction and remodeling, as
well as hand and power tools,
appliances, security and home-automation systems, building materials,
lighting, and cooking, cleaning, and lawn-care products for the magazine's 2008 Best of What's New awards. (They are also taking submissions in 11 other categories.) Or to see what's out there, just browse last year's winners. The entry fee is $300 for any product, and the final entry deadline is August 24, 2008.

What a great idea - I think I'll only charge $100.00 and see how much money I can raise. Isn't this a version of pay for play - or no play if you don't get 'selected to win'?
