Great flick about EVIL HOUSING DEVELOPER
October 11, 2008
I don’t know anything about movies except that I’ve seen the beginning of lots of mediocre ones but missed the end because I fell asleep in my chair. I do know that I didn’t miss a second of The Unforeseen, a great flick about a community’s efforts to stop a housing development in Austin, Texas. The film got awards and critical accolades, but like most documentaries, this one slipped under most people’s radar screen. It doesn’t have big movie stars in action packed scenes where lots of stuff blows up, but the movie does include interviews with Robert Redford, Willie Nelson, Ann Richards, and the guy who should be everyone’s favorite Naturalist writer, Wendell Berry. Watch the trailer here.
