Magnum VS Magnum

November 15, 2008

If you have a toolbox, there should be a handsaw in there.  Ideally it will be of the pull saw variety.  For the uninitiated:  A pull saw is a handsaw that cuts on the pulling motion as opposed to the pushing motion. This results in a straighter, cleaner, and much faster cut.  It also results in fewer finger-maiming mishaps. If your handsaw is not a pull saw, (or worse, your toolbox is saw less!) I suggest you run out right away and buy Tajima’s Magnum™ 300 - 9TPI pull saw.  Of all the pull saws I’ve used, and I’ve used a few, this one is by far the most awesome.  As evidence of the Magnum™ 300’s awesomeness, check out it’s similarities to a different magnum that is awesome; Magnum, P.I.

Magnum P.I.

Unique Fluoro-Coat™ blade   coating reduces friction and repels glue and sap.

Story lines keep you glued to the screen and are often   loaded with sappy dialogue and subplots.

Aggressive 9TPI (teeth per inch) pull-to-cut blade for   fast rips and crosscuts.

Aggressive Doberman Pinchers, Zeus and Apollo.

12 inch long rectangular blade with blade stiffener tracks   straight and true

Loyal, straight and true friendships were a defining   element of the show.

The Magnum™ 300 has an oversized cast aluminum handle with   embedded elastomer grips for superior comfort and   control.

Magnum P.I. had an oversized ensemble cast (plus many   guest stars), which made it a superior show that controlled Neilson ratings.

The Magnum™ 300 can easily cut through your homes 4th   wall, or any of your homes walls for that matter.

Magnum P.I. regularly broke through “the 4th   wall” by making eye contact with the TV audience.

Magnum™ 300 looks great in red.

I've never seen Magnum P.I. or used the handsaw but I do have to be honest. Your column makes me quite intrigued to use/own both! Nicely done!
