Hide your hose

Built-in central vacuum cleaners are quieter and more powerful than un-built-in, de-centralized vacuum cleaners (or what ever it is you call the kind that you keep in the closet and roll around the house).  When I built a house for my mother I installed a central vac system and there have only even been two problems with it.  The first is that while mom doesn’t have to lug a Hoover around from room to room, she does have to contend with the 25-foot-long hose that takes up a lot of space coiled on a garden-hose-type rack in the closet. The second problem only lasted about a year and that was the smell of the scallops that my oldest son fed into vacuum system’s little trap door on the wall. He was young at the time and didn’t like what Gammy had served for dinner, so when no one was looking he snuck into the living room and got rid of the seafood.  The new central vacuum system from Hide-A-Hose gets rid of the first problem. When you are finished vacuuming, the system sucks the hose back into the tubing that’s installed behind the walls. There is nothing in the company’s literature about dealing with obstreperous children and their fussy eating habits.
