Monkey Hooks

We were at a friend's house for dinner a few weeks ago, hanging around in the kitchen, and I pulled open what I figured to be their junk drawer, and it was. Right there on top was a pack of ear-shaped, spring-steel things called Monkey Hooks. They are for hanging pictures on drywall-covered walls. I asked my friend if I could have a couple of the clips, and she told me no, I couldn't because she needed them and that I should get my own, which I did. Ingenious and simple, the clips twist into a wall and then lock into place. Each clip is rated to hold 50 pounds, and I have no doubt that it will. You can go on the Monkey Hook website and watch a video of an actual monkey wearing red gym shorts insert one of the clips in a wall. At the end of the video, an attractive woman sits next to the monkey and puts in one of the hooks. Then, she and the monkey kiss, which I thought was a little yucky. The company also makes heavy duty Gorilla clips that will hold larger loads. Thank god the site did not have a video of a gorilla and the monkey kissing because that would be really gross.

man, i'm so glad that yet another company has reinvented the wheel... that 'hammer and picture hook' idea was truly too difficult...
