Custom stainess steel countertops
Someday, hopefully in this life, I am going to have a one-piece stainless steel countertop and sink. I'm tired of Formica, I've never like Corian, and stone counters (with or without blood grooves) just remind me of my brief stint at morticians school. Yes, a stainless steel counter with an integral sink is the way to go. Never again will I have to clean the scrundge our from the area when counter meets the sink or backsplash, and water from drying pots and pans will drain effortlessly from my counter to my sink. When I get ready to order my custom unit, I'm going to call the good folks at Eskay Metal Fabricating in Buffalo, New York. Their team of engineers will review my design drawings and specifications, fabricate just what I want, and make sure a quality product is delivered on time to my house. On their site, there's a online calculator so I can get a quote about costs. I'm saving my money already. I want to get this done before they lay me out on a cold stone slab.

funny how all your reasons for wanting stainless steel are the same reasons folks buy, or want, corian counters/sinks... yet, i guess some folks prefer the 'lab' look and all those unfixable metal scratches, eh...
Corian is OK if you don't mind not being able to put down hot pans. I lived with a burnt Corian counter from a previous owner. Couldn't wait to rip it out!
We are updating a lake cottage kitchen and stumbled on Eskay using google! Several 'kitchen designers' tried to talk us out of stainless counters (probably because they've never done one - they had all sorts of reason 'why not' but you have to wonder, if they're good enough for restaurants...), and we finally settled on a carpenter who was actually excited about the idea - said he'd traveled in New Zealand, where stainless counters are becoming more common.
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog
and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed
reading your blog posts. Any way I’ll be
subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again
soon.
I also prefer a pure stainless steel counter top over the regular tile covered one. I will need extra care though because it is more prone to damage.
