Get 3 Victorians for $450,000
Yes, housing prices are lower than usual these days. But I was still shocked when Kara Hahn, with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office, told me I could get three Victorians—three Victorians listed on the National Register of Historic Places no less, for just $450,000. The houses are located in Cheyenne, Wyoming's Rainsford Historic District, an area once popular among wealthy cattle barons. However, these houses were not actually built here. Rather, they were constructed at nearby F.E. Warren Air Force Base, then moved to Cheyenne, just up the block from the Governor's mansion, in 1905. A developer bought the houses a few years back, intending to sell the land to a hospital looking to expand its parking lot. The deal fell through, so now the developer is unloading these ready-to-move-in homes to whoever wants them. Interested? Then call Kara Hahn at 307-777-7828.
