Take the bite out of summer

June 27, 2009

Summer is upon us, and with it comes a host of yard work and other DIY responsibilities that may have you digging, weeding, clearing, and otherwise just getting dirty outside.  Besides getting dirty (fun), there is also the potential hazard of being bitten, stung, or poisoned (not as fun) by insects or plants.  Of course, vigilance is half the battle; but if that unseen patch of poison ivy or that mound of fire ants catches you off guard you’ll be a happy camper if you have some Bite Blaster™ in your first aid kit.

According to the good folks over at Coastal Solutions, Bite Blaster™ is a “military-strength” pain reliever for bug bites as well as the itchiness/burn resulting from exposure to poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac.  The active ingredient in this little miracle is lidocaine, and Bite Blaster™ contains the highest concentration of it that’s allowed to be sold over the counter.  It packs quite a punch!  Many hardware stores and other retailers carry this product at their point-of-sale.  If your local shops don’t offer this product, you can order some direct here.  For $6.00 you can add this to your summer arsenal.  You’ll be glad you did.
