Bissell vacuum for pet owners
I am currently contemplating becoming a dog owner again (I grew up with a wonderfully loyal Shih Tzu-Lhasa Apso mix, and I've found myself eyeing cute-as-a-button Malteses). My entire apartment is carpeted, however, so I'm concerned about dog hair and other dirt that rambunctious puppies bring in. That's why I'm seriously considering splurging on the new supercharged Lift-Off Multi Cyclonic Pet vacuum from Bissell.
The 12-amp system has a detachable canister and specific pet attachment to pull hair off stairs and upholstery with a rotating brush, while a HEPA Media Filter is guarenteed to catch 99.9 percent of pet dander, dust mites, and other allergens. The vacuum retails for a pricey $200, but a puppy to cuddle with might just be worth it.

I have had this vacuum for a year and a half now. It works great on pet hair, we have a chocolate lab and a cat. It picks up tons of hair, the attachment you see on the front is pretty amazing.
That said, the Furminator (no joke...) has all but eliminated pet hair from our house: http://www.furminator.com/

Love the electric blue body! I just hope it has the strength to stand up to our seven cats. They have left a trail of hair everywhere, under the bed, behind the couch, even inexplicably in the bathroom. Frankly it would be more helpful if the Bissel was a smaller unit - easier to port around.
I know pets require a vacuum that has above average suction and an excellent brushbar it would be nice to see a picture of the latter close up, as well as the vacuum attachments.
Does it have a carbon filter option for reducing the circulation of pet odors?
Thanks for the review!
