Wall-mounted pet bed: Take a catnap
I'm not a big fan of felines. Sure, they're cute and fluffy (except those hairless ones), but they're rather sneaky and they make me feel uncomfortable. But since I wrote about a sleeping spot for dogs back in June, I thought it was only fair that I give a shout-out to cats and suggest a place for them to nap, too.
Called the Curve, Akemi Tanaka's bentwood beds are the perfect perch for cats to curl up on, and are a smart small space solution for their design conscious owners. Available in either maple or walnut veneer with a selection of attractive fabric options for the snap on, machine-washable cushions, these babies easily mount onto the wall (only two holes are required for installation), freeing up precious floor real estate. Though they are rather expensive for a pet bed ($199), there's really no price too high if it means ultimate comfort for your cat, and a stylish space saver for your decor. It's a twofer. I love it! And unless Mr. Whiskers is on the chunky side, he should be safe and secure while stretching out on one of these—they're designed to hold up to 35 pounds. I suppose you could also use them as a dog bed (sorry, I had to say something about them). If you do though, just make sure you don't mount them too high off of the floor. Doggies aren't as good as cats at the whole vertical jumping thing.

Or you can put up some tracks for adjustable shelves and cover some shelves in carpet to create an entire wall mounted cat play structure for a fraction of the cost of one of those designer beds.
well 199 dollars are not a small sum for a pet bed and I wonder whether it involves much technology to build one like this for my cat? I mean it seems like a board plus 4 nails thing, isn't it? Besides I'm interested in the question: is this product already brought to the market and how's the market reaction for it?^_^
I put up a shelf under a large window for my cats. I haven't seen one of them since. :)
I up a shelf under the window in our warmest room. The cat LOVES it, especially since it's padded and also has a pillow on it for him.
It's nice to see cats just like hanging in the wall. Are they wall decorations? But they are really amazing.
