Warm floors is all I wish for...
Since joining This Old House, I've slowly, but surely started an ever-growing list of "one day wants." Like, "one day I'll have a fireplace with a wood mantel" and "one day I'll have a wall of bookcase built-ins." But the #1 item on my list is "one day I'll have radiant floors." And when that one day comes, one of the options I'll be considering is Thermosoft.
The Energy Star-certified system for floating floors is, purportedly, the only heating pad that can be placed under laminated floating planks and snap-together tiles. And you don't necessarily need a cement substrate.
Meanwhile, the Thermotile electric floor heating system supposedly doesn't emit any electromagnetic fields that will interfere with your plasma TV or wireless laptop.
At least for today, orders are 40 percent off.
