Caulking kit is a hit
Well, it finally happened. I just bought my very first "As Seen on TV" product: the DAP Pro Caulk Kit, which is designed for smoothing freshly caulked joints. And much to my surprise, the kit works great!
The Pro Caulk Kit includes three caulking tools that are used to scrape away excess caulk, resulting in perfectly smooth joints. No fuss, no muss, and--more importantly--you no longer have to use your fingers. The kit also includes a plastic hook-shaped tool designed for raking out the old caulk.
The three caulking toolsare made from DuraFlex, a firm, yet slightly flexible rubber-like material. They produce eight different-size beads: 5-, 8-, 10, and 16-mm chamfer, 16-mm round, 90-degree square, standard and one for applying caulk to recessed grout joints. (Although I don't know why you'd apply caulk to a grout joint; I'd use, oh, I don't know, maybe grout.)
The DAP Pro Caulk Kit is sold with the tools only (as shown at right) for about $15, or with the tools and a 5.5-ounce tube of caulk for about $20.

I cut my caulk tubes with my new cutter called the Spout-Popper.
It has a guillotine style cut that cuts them clean.
With three caulk bead sizes, I never cut too much off and it has a seal puncture tool.
