Peep hole helper

November 20, 2009

Anyone topping off under 5'5" (like myself) can tell you, most peep holes can be quite a bother. You've got to get on your tippy-toes to see through the fun-house glass. I've got height-challenged relatives in my family that just say "Who?" without bothering to check. Scary thought, I know. Which is why I think I would invest in this nifty Peephole Viewer from Brinno Inc.

Installed in place of your regular peephole, a 2.5 inch LCD panel running on two AA-batteries lets you get a good, undistorted look at your visitor with the simple press of a button. You can even zoom in.

Plus, if you're quiet enough, said visitor can't tell you're there like if they had seen a peephole cover move—letting you screen and ignore at your pleasure. I think I'd pay the $99 just for that.
