Seven-bit screwdriver

Stanley

Every homeowner should own at least one multi-tip screwdriver. That way, in one compact tool you'll have the ability to drive or remove many different types and sizes of screws.

Most multi-tip screwdriverscome with interchangeable screw-driving tips, which is ok, but I like the new Stanley Push-n-Pick Screwdriver much better, and here's why:

The Push-n-Pickcomes with seven 3-inch-long screw-driving bits, not tiny tips that are hard to handle and easy to lose. The chrome-vanadium steel bits store in holes located in the tool's handle.

Push

When you want to switch bits, simply remove the bit from the tool's magnetic shaft, then use it push out the desired bit from the handle. The removed bit will slide up and automatically store in the handle.

The other advantage of having 3-inch bits, not small screw-driving tips, is that you can chuck the longer bits into a cordless drill/driver to power-drive screws.

The screwdriver comes with four Phillips bits (from No. 0 to No. 3), and three slotted bits (3/16, 5/32, 1/4 inch). I also like the fact that the tool has a nice fat, molded-rubber handle that's super-comfortable to grip and twist.

The Push-n-Pick Screwdriver (Model 69-193) retails for about $16, but I found it on-line for $11.
