Getting tuned-up for winter

December 24, 2009

Procrastinators rejoice! If you've been meaning to get your snow-removal equipment tuned-up and ready for winter, but just never got around to it, then you're in luck.

John Deere has instituted a nationwide mobile-maintenance program that brings a factory-trained service technician right to your home.

The technician arrives in a fully equipped truck with all the tools and parts necessary to maintain virtually any piece of lawn-and-garden equipment.

Mobile

Some of the many ready-for-winter services available from John Deere's road warriors include attaching a snowblower or snow plow to a lawn tractor, servicing walk-behind snowblowers, inspecting belts and batteries, changing the oil and spark plugs, checking air pressure in tires, and lubricating fittings and linkages.

For more information, including how to schedule an at-home service call, visit: ReadytoMow.com.

By the way, Deere technicians are experts in fixing and maintaining all makes and models of equipment, not just John Deere, so there's no excuse not to be tuned up and ready to go once the snow starts to fly.

Deere has always gone above and beyond for their customers. Whether it's the quality of their equipment, or the quality of their service, you really can't go wrong.

Since winter is approaching you should prepare all your snow removal equipment by using Clean Deck Graphite. Snow blower outlet chutes and deflectors, scraper bars, shave plates and augers, snow plow blades and snow shovels should all be coated with Clean Deck Graphite to prevent build-up of wet snow. Snow blower outlet chutes tend to block when used with wet snow and should be coated with Clean Deck Graphite to allow smooth flow. Clean Deck Graphite is used to stop grass from sticking or clumping to lawn mower decks and also works great on snow removal equipment. You only have to apply Clean Deck once a year for regular mowing and snow removal. The other non stick options have to be applied every time you mow the grass or remove snow with your equipment. Clean up is easy as nothing will stick to your equipment if coated with Clean Deck Graphite. More information about Clean Deck Graphite can be found at www.CleanDeck.net or at www.WilmarGraphite.net
